Calidus Engineering Ltd offers over 90 man-years of experience in the
design and development of very hostile environment downhole systems for
the oil & gas and geothermal industries. These include production tools,
wireline logging tools, MWD systems, permanently deployed gauges, SMART
well applications and subsea control and power distribution systems in
environments ranging from a standard 150°C and 20kpsi (140MPa) wireline
through 200°C and 25kpsi permanent deployment to 400°C short term
slickline / memory tools.

Design and Product Development.

through modelling and prototyping, allowing the product to be

building the real entity. We can also help by identifying
optimal routes for development and possible flaws with proposed
approaches. Extensive use of 3D modelling using Solid Works
compliments the process.

convert the marketing/business requirement into technical
specifications, technical architecture, functional specification and 3D
Models. These are the precursors to formal project planning on
medium/large scale projects, forming the description of the deliverables
for contractual purposes and are ideal to get a sense of what the
implementation cost will be.

Drawing on over 80 years of experience the mechanical design team have
the ability to start with a "blank sheet" and through a process of
client discussion convert that into a requirement to start producing
interpretations of ideas using 2D drawing packages such as AutoCAD and
3D models using Solid Works.

Calidus Engineering Ltd electronics design team provides the capability
to design and develop innovative turnkey solution hardware and
infrastructure for downhole and subsea electronic equipment and systems.
This is a very potent capability geared to finding solutions and solving
problems rather than just providing a product offering. Our Electronics
team is experienced in harsh environment, high temperature electronics
and use the PROTEL CAD suite.

Calidus Engineering Ltd can offer its own on-site precision engineering
and manufacturing facility specialising in materials for harsh
environments including stainless steels, aluminium alloys, nickel
alloys, cobalt alloys, plastics, elastomers and ceramics.
